Basically you may think you burned 200 calores by running for 15 minutes but in reality after that run your body will try to preserve more energy and you will subconsciously fidget less during the day, walk slower, move slower even though you don't notice it, which will in turn lower your metabolic rate to offset the cardio. Even dieting does this but not as bad as cardio, thats why food is key for fat loss
