Going to the gym to lift weights is a follower move. Autists suck zyzz balls and think lifting makes them alpha, it doesn't. Lifting is too trendy nowadays, everyone wants the same physique. Doing the same exercises, a slave to the gym. Imagine from an outside perspective, watching yourself curl those weights looking in the mirror, it looks retarded. Humans naturally have some muscle, sure but they would be on the thinner side naturally. Look at tribes and how skinny they are. Humans are not naturally big like a gorilla. Having the extra mass just for looks is stupid. You had to force your body to grow, it only does that when necessary. You dont need the muscle for your job and if you did it would build without the gym. So its pointless. Being overweight, fat or muscle is unhealthier.
If you have the desire to exercise why not go for cardio, you will feel better in your daily life for it and will stay at your natural weight when you only do cardio and avoid heavy weights. If you need muscle for your job or something else you will build some for that. No reason to walk around with extra muscle that has no daily uses. Waste of calories keeping that muscle. Some people who gain muscle think its a personality trait, it becomes their identity. You will be able to relax and not have to think about gains.
Fuck the gym and how overrated it is. I am sure someone will say "cope" or that I have never lifted. Whatever. This is none of that, I have had more muscle than I currently do but being lighter with better cardio feels much better to me. I had no use in my daily life for hauling dumbbells around. Just heavier for nothing but looks. Having a smaller athletic look is just as good. Do cardio daily and you will feel more benefits than you ever will weight lifting. You don't need to go to failure with cardio, keep it lighter and build up to something you can do daily without needing any rest days.
