Phd people can do it part business part academia
Implant tech CEO is phd indian and i remember a 30 year old one too

Is it profitable?

I don't know, but I want to be a professor one day, teach about what I love... Only problem is that I am a dropout and Math is a real pain in the ass, but I'm trying: at 25yo, I've already read enough for a lifetime and I just want to keep going. Will learn 4 more languages as an autodidact in 2023 (including German), just keep learning while I still got free time... I may take long to perform an action, but when I do I do it at the speed of light lol
