back then we had Teen titans, fairly oddparents, codename: KND and some other great programs that were neither preachy nor overly gross/subversive just for the sake of it. any more adult-oriented comedies like ren and stimpy had violent slapstick but were still actually funny.

now all adult cartoons are South Park clones that conflate being offensive with being funny (eg. drawn together), and all kids cartoons are literal gay shows promoting sodomy like Steven Universe.

They made Finn a nihilist because of all the shit that happened to him but because of that decision the show aged horribly. But I think it's better to have a personality than have the protagonist be a bland fat faggot who eats croissants (the bear show) or stereotypical Naruto personality but without the background or the development (the rest)
