argument for cats:
- they choose to be with you, unlike with a dog where it's a neccesity for their survival; a cat can easily say fuck you and go live off rats and birds they catch.
- they're low maintainance, depending on the breed, but most common housecats are tabbies, which barely shed any hair
- no constant walks
- no picking up poop (yes you will have to clean the cat litter but i think that's a lesser evil)
- no leash needed
argument for dogs:
- more social, and has higher social intelligence
- more human-like behaviour
- more mass to cuddle with
- can do tricks
- more loyal
