The belief that cavemen had 1 alpha leader who fucked all the women is pure fiction. There's literally nothing to back it up at all. All the evidence shows it being the opposite. Men had the best chances of reproducing around 50 000 years ago. The ratio of men vs women reproducing was nearly 1:1, so 1 man had kids with 1 woman. After agriculture the ratio hit even 1:17, so 1 man had kids with 17 women. So for most of human history there was less hypergamy and men had pretty good chances of reproducing. This is what they took away from us
