Many of them fraud hard, wear lifts or elevator shoes, his wife - actress Giada Colagrande is listed at 5'4 and he doesn't look much taller than her.

He does seem to wear elevator shoes at certain red carpet events, where he appears taller.

He didn't have any special shoes on the set that day when I saw him, because his scene was with a little girl shorter than him, and the Romanian extras were also on the shorter side.
