Yeah WaW is 2nd place for me, BO1 is WaW but more refined and I like cold war setting more than ww2 even do WaW had the best ww2 setting, not the generic D day or fighting Germans in some shithole in France, Pacific and Soviet perspective on the eastern front were great

Exactly, WW2 games are too American oriented. We don’t need the 100th retelling of D-Day. The Russian campaign is what elevated WoW for me.

COD should have made a dedicated campaign to the Eastern front from both the Soviet and Nazi Perspectives. With today’s technology, it could be absolutely incredible but Multiplayer is such a big moneymaker that they won’t bother.

WoW and Black Ops were some of the last games where the developers took the campaign mode seriously. I don’t think we’ll see anything like it again.

Showing perspectives doesn’t equal endorsement but people can’t seem to make that distinction.

One of the highlights of the Band of Brothers TV show is the scene of a German officer addressing his men and commending them on their bravery.

The scale of the conflict on the Eastern Front was many orders of magnitude greater than all the combined Western Allied campaigns.

The Russians and Soviets would lose more men in a single battle than the Americans or British did over the course of the entire war.

The outcome of WW2 was decided in the Eastern Front - not in Western Europe or North Africa.

That’s the elephant in the room that pretty much all WW2 modern media likes to overlook.
