I think a better argument would have been that Chads propensity to become addicts are due mostly to
them becoming more desensitized to sex than the average man and would later in life then need to use
Drugs/Alcohol as a buffer to up their stimulation.

I agree that Pacino (and Bogart, Owen Wilson, Craig Furgeson, Kelsey Grammer and Tommy Lee) do not belong there. Ruth I am fuzzy about, probably not a good idea to include him simply because it was a different era. Young Jim Carrey and Eddie Van Halen (and Russel Brand) were model tier good looking, perhaps not in the classic Chad sense, but they had great Charisma to make up for that, or pseudo charisma in the case of guitar god Van Halen, they belong on that list.

I left out a lot of athletes that were not hall of famers, but still Chads, just because I wanted to include names most everyone would know.

i think when the social requirements are that high you will encounter alcohol regularly and thus be forced to indulge or be seen as some weird teetotaler. actors and celebrities are high openness to new experiences, so drug use would be very common.
