Sometimes girls who are on the taller but shorter side, 5'7- 5'10 tend to usually go for guys that are in the 5'8-6' range. I think they subconciously know that they don't need a really tall man since they already have good height genetics to begin with and unless they marry some hobbit, their kids will end up tall anyway.
