ChatGPT is expensive. Absurdly so. OpenAI is running at a loss. Even the $200/month tier loses them money

They spend billions of dollars a year just on the servers, the more advanced it gets the more expensive it will be to run it.

Right now its just a glorified search engine with a chat bot feature. It constantly hallucinates and provides fake information.

We have reached a point where we have diminishing returns, technology doesnt constantly get cheaper and better thats not how things work in reality.

Judt look at Graphics cards getting more expensive and power hungry while barely having any noticeable improvements in performance

It's very naive to think technology will just constsntly evolve

Totally, brah have you seen Deepseek research ? That is exactly what they are trying to solve, and they did solve. As for your point in how technology doesnt get cheaper, you couldnt be more wrong. Battery technology is also hot right now and their prices have nosedived along with increasing power density. The only way AI stops is if there is another AI winter

It already is a hellhole

they have already predicted this
wait and see

First people thought bitcoin would be the next big thing
Then blockchain
Then VR
Then NFTs
And now "ai"

Investors will move onto a new trend

Chatgpt isn't even ai, its a Language learning module that gives responses based on user inputs like prompts

Its basically a glorfied search engine

Well Ai stock prices are based entirely on speculation, people are betting its the next big thing but without all that funding it will be way too expensive to operate.

They will just scale it down and make it shitter but more expensive.

Like netflix

Let me educate you goy, ChatGPT is a language model trained with machine learning techniques, yes.

But bing trained with machine learning doesn't automatically make it "AI" or true intelligence.

It's still fundamentally a pattern recognition and prediction tool β€” like a very advanced autocomplete β€” not an actual thinking entity.

I am talking about manufacturing costs, not the market costs. Market costs are affected by subsidies, manufacturing costs are not. These are calculated on the panel

What do you think humans do ? It is not bing by the way. It is not a search engine. It has a massive dataset that it is trianed on, that it references to generate output. It is trained on transformer architecture which is literally classified as a huge discovery in AI research by Machine Learning researchers

For most of it's life Solar was a niche, once Gob Subsidies kicked in so did the market demand thus reaulting in an increase in manufactoring ehich created competition and lowered costs.

Take away solar rebates and gov subsidies and the demand will drop, thus resulting in an increase in manufacturing.

No, it wont. You are misunderstanding the cause and effect. Gov subsidies kicked in because they wanted to show off they care about Climate Change. Even before that Solar PV prices have been declining in raw manufacturing costs. Are you telling me there were massive subsidies all over the world in 1970s and 1980s ? People didnt take Climate Change seriously back then

I think they are researching how it "thinks out of the box" in certain situations. Not creatively but it skirts the rules in prompts. But it is still in infancy so we dont know much about it acting on it's own

This is how it is. Unless they get more breakthroughs, certain models will shine in narrow tasks. I am betting an AI semi winter comes and will temporarily stop some of the destined goals

Even though technology gets cheaper our demands grow stronger. Its unsustainable.

Anyway innovation can solve this Deepseek was a cost-effective version of ChatGPT and if they are able to make advances in Quantum and data storage technologies it could improve bottlenecks.

Anyway AI is gay. I am really going all in on biotech and/or quantum - that surely has to be the next market narrative / bubble.

Open AI has the most traffick that’s why

Sometimes I use DeepSeek and it’s bottlenecked by the requests and cannot give any responses for a while

GPT never has this issue which is why I prefer it over DeepSeek. Grok has been the best so far but I can’t copy and paste it’s results on my I phone so I stick with GPT esp as that knows me the most

Ye kinda confused what this thread is about I think people forgot OpenAI is a research company google deepmind was extremely unprofitable since 2014-2023. I only use perplexity with any model for general use but Gemini 2.5 for programming cause it has an insane context and is free I think but I need to look at the context lengths for free vs pro. Also most people are banned from using DeepSeek in my company

It will take at least ten years before this gets good for video games and even then u will need a lot of manual oversight.

That world is being created on the fly as that character is going up the stairs.

Its still years off yeah and there will be pushback from industry and cuck regulations that slow down anything commercially usable. I want to create a X-rated Final Fantasy with Tifa and Yuna scisssoring each other.

No goy you will always do some kind of labour. Chat GPT relies on human-generated data. If you sit home all day you will deprive it of human generated data.
