To be honest I have no idea. But I would imagine that, the more attractive the man is, the more he could seem distant and unavailable and still attract his current partner. Whereas a man who is just a bit above average probably doesnt have much room to work with and if he seems too unavailable then his girlfriend or wife would not want to be with him.
