I've learned about a lot of massive battles in the past. Roman empire. Alexander the great. And so on.

Casualties were almost never higher than 15%.(10k men)
At some point one side thinks they are losing and the lines collapse, morale is gone, the other side wins. People just flee/surrender at that point.
And that's that. You win the battle, you get your cities/territory/loot/etc, only months later does a similar next big battle take place if the empire still has power in it. But mostly they just surrender to the winners.

These battles we have now, the first world war, the second world war, this shit we have now. Millions are dying in almost pointless fashion.

But there is barely any gain. In the time of Alexander the Great, this nigga was conquering the entire world. The empire was massive, etc.

In modern warfare, millions are dying over a couple hundred miles at best. It's so fucking pointless and gives human life an absolute minimal value.


AI warfare is the future. Wars will be fought by robots.
Humans will have to do asymmetrical warfare even more so than ever before to stand a chance.

In any case it's going to be even more dystopian than ever before tbh. I don't believe in the human future honestly.
And I struggle with how I want to organize my life with this knowledge. I don't believe in a future for my (potential) kids, etc.
