Cheek implant failure : whyy ?

This guy got a cheeks implant with a design rather to enhance his high cheekbones. Although on paper the design is overly not bad, the result is catastrophic. He got some feminine cheeks with a puffy look.
What got wrong with this guy ?

Rhinoplasty and/or paranasal implant/lefort 1 would've been a much bigger improvement.

His skull is too small for those cheekbones. Chipmunk vibes. Also slight maxilla recession. He didn't need anything

Yeah I was thinking about why even well designed cheek implants look bloated. Maybe recessed maxilla+ buccal fat+ not enough projection?

Well, first of all, I can barely see the difference. Unless I specifically look for it, I don't. So the first error is that its too small and barely visible. (not that it should have been bigger, ill get to that)

No idea how you came to the conclusion that he looks worse from these pics.

But most importantly, this guy just doesn't have the skull for the implants.

For example, you cant have insane cheekbones, but be downward grown.
You cant have amazing anteface, and have shit cranial base.

This guy just doesen have the base for it. If you dont have the base for it, and attempt to change it with implants, you will end up looking off.
I'd love to see his profile, I think that would tell a lot.
