Cheekbones growing or fat pads dissolving at 24?

Im 24 and got my posterior tongue tie released 5 months ago. Ive noticed my cheekbones look more laterally prominent, but ive read that buccal fat pads start to dissolve in your 20s. Im also 60lbs overweight rn while noticing these changes. Is there a way to tell which it is?
