Chewing + bad wisdom tooth?

I have a very painful wisdom tooth growing in my other tooth. That being said, chewing ascended me a lot, but it was painful to force myself to do it with the already painful tooth. That being said, if I decide not to take it out, will I create new problems with chewing?
