Chewing Buccinators

Other day I tried chewing and I only felt pain in my cheek muscles which look like they are the buccinator muscle
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and if I should just keep going?
The lower jaw muscle doesn’t feel worked at all
Is this normal?
