It’s because the op is just really ugly in the before and after so he thinks chewing descended him.

Ugly people and those with bdd respond very negatively to most changes to the face like lateral inversion or lens distortion because they are no longer used to the new look so they are reminded of how ugly they are. Same for anyone viewing it. It’s just a different type of ugly.
