Being a provider for kids seems like such a cope. I mean, having kids is fine. But getting all your value in life from your role as a provider just floors me. It also puts stupid amounts of pressure on the kid. I get that most people are losers and can’t do much with their life anyway so they cope by pretending they only care about their kids. It’s like married guys saying they would slay sorority girls if it wasn’t for the ol’ ball and chain. But who buys this? There’s nothing good about providing for some dipshit kids. It’s necessary, but lol at pretending it gives you some inherent value.
