Chin projection looks so different between pics

His chin here just looks recessed jfl. It doesn’t even pass the top lip.

Whereas in this pic

It’s clear that his chin is well projected.

Can anyone explain this? It’s so weird because sometimes I don’t even know if my own chin is recessed or projected

Nah because he's at a straight 90° in both pics, and even if you edit the pics to frankfurt plane it's still very different
