There’s no point in doing this surgery

Just get custom implants for this result, hell probably an even better one

Just end up looking unnatural and deformed theory

That must suck because i have a custom chin implant that looks good
Chin implants look good, jaw implants make people look deformed. Chin wing doesn't just touch the chin area

It’d be better to combine genio with an implant for shape than get a chin wing. If you get chin wing in 2026 you are a mega retard there’s good reason why most surgeons don’t perform

Fr, jaw angle implant results are pure ropefuel
Also chin wing isnt something risky like bimax or lefort 2. If you find a good surgeon then everything will be fine

Most surgeons don't offer it because it's a relatively recent technique (Dr. Triaca introduced it in 2009) compared with other maxillofacial procedures ?
Also, its use case is limited. And the problematic around the inferior alveolar nerve further reduces the pool of potential patients.

This would be my guess as to why chin wings are not more commonly performed.

On the forum, Yussimania once said that it would be prone to bone non-union, but didn't share any documented case or study to substantiate this claim. Could be true, I don't know. I would assume it's dependent on the movement and the potential use of bone graft or not, as with other maxillary osteotomies.

As far as I could find on the forum, @kingofkings is the only user who has talked about his direct experience with chin wings. And, unless something has changed in the meantime, his feedback was positive. He said it ascended him. The only drawbacks were mild nerve damage (that may have healed since then ?) and a gonial step-off that could be felt by touch but not seen.
Now that he is back, he could directly share his insights in this thread !

Eppley has an opinion on it that proposes different reasons.

Eppley thinks that a wraparound is better. And if you think about it, that might be the case. Eppley has interests in silicone implants, but wraparounds come in PEEK too—that much Eppley himself has blogged about.

I have yet to note any wraparound results. Could such implants be underexposed? However this chin wing is like good. Like good. It looks natural and enchadified him a fair amount. He got his money's worth. But why that is nobody can explain.

In this domain of enchadfying beta jawlines, it seems like filler can work, chin wing can work. Maybe wraparounds can work.

That's why these people look better than 99% of those who went for implants? Just coping at this point
You’re right every maxfac I’ve ever consulted was completely lying to me and wrong, They’re just coping at that point. When I was told chin wing has a common issue regarding symmetry it was probably because the surgeon didn’t want me to become chad

you see 1 result that looks homo and 1 result that’s quite good and immediately say other procedures are shite give me a break

@Master make it to where people who haven’t gotten surgery can’t give advice

I don’t know man, every jaw angle result I've seen looks pretty underwhelming. Do you have pics of good ones?

Just because some surgeons don't perform it doesn't mean that it's automatically a bad procedure to be done. Also many normie surgeons tell recessed people that they don't need bimax. Jfl at believing everything they say

Chin wing results look natural. You just need to find a good surgeon. Chin wing can cause slight asymmetry but it can also be used to make a face more symmetrical

I dont recommend jaw angle implants

Theres not that much info on chin wing so none of us can say for certain rn but the 3 surgeons i asked, 2 of which are big names here, all strayed me away from it. Tbf their reasons were vague but they're the ones who cut peoples faces open so i trust them more than soy_beta_cuckold228

bluepilled surgeons ya, but youd be surprised at how many people who consult for copemax dont actually need it aesthetically. Its also ironic how you talk about custom implants making people look deformed or unnatural when 50% of bimax results look exactly that, just look at timothy's ugly lips he has now due to copemax

Yea of the 3 results we have

Wraparound look like shit most of the time. Simply just adding material all around tends to make the person look bloated

If only you had some pictures to show me and the majority of people who don't know. I've seen and can remember one from Eppley, and I thought that it didn't look too bad.

How is it different from just having more bone mass?

100%

Made me mog
And what’s the catch? Start with less and build up? Or use a specific filler? I know chins aren’t jaw angles, but with a lot of girls I see, their chin droops down—why is that? can something similar happened with jaw angles?

I had a wraparound by eppley which I removed.

Because wraparounds add mass everywhere, even places you dont need.

I think its much better to get for example jaw angle implants and combine it with jaw shaving to *recontour*. Not just add mass everywhere and end up bloated

didn’t harmonize with my masseter is the main reason for me. Jaw angles aren’t bad tho. If you have a nonexistent ramus and high Gonial angle downward grown type thing going on then they’re mogger, that’s why people recommend jaw shaving before jaw angle implants

Poor placement, too much filler, bad variant of filler I would assume. This is just my guess honestly because I never see that issue on males. As for jaw angles anything can go wrong with any procedure but filler is honestly really hard to fuck up man, even when I went to cheap injectors locally I looked mogger asf
