they have no reason to rush, US won’t put a military base there anytime soon. Taiwan fertility rate is 0.87 so their population would be less than 10 million in 100 years. An invasion of Taiwan would sanction their economy and they have a growing EV export market. They usually think about things long term. They’re going to wait until there’s like 7 million taiwanese and nobody really cares about them. The world needs Taiwan for chips, but all things come to and end and the world will eventually no longer need Taiwan. Their population will age and become weak in 100 years. China will then send 5 million troops vs 100k conscripted taiwanese troops with outdated equipment. If they fail they will just drop 4 nukes and get the lil island
