Interesting,Yeah, I knew what verse you're talking about. This verse isn't necessarily literal, as it can also be talking to the Prophet in a rhetorical sense almost, this is a pretty common language technique used even in English. For example if I tell someone "You can double check it if you're not sure"
That doesn't necessarily mean that they're unsure, nor does it mean they actually have to. The Qur'an isn't just plain literalistic text.
