normally I feel happy and excited but I'm not. I really miss being childish and happy all the time

I view Christmas like my birthday now. It's nice to get some thoughtful gifts but I can buy whatever I really want at this age.

Our entire family still gathers and we have a tradition of every single one gifting something to each other so everyone gets tons of gifts. Sometimes it'll be expensive stuff, sometimes simply a beautiful hand-written letter. It has always been wholesome and I'm trying to keep it that way and make my children feel this spirit as well in the future.
