I've been using 4% hydroquinone daily and tretinoin 0.025%. My skin looks glowier after hydroquinone-only nights but less glowy after tretinoin nights, even though I have no peeling, redness, burning, or irritation. What is the most likely cause? Is it normal retinization, mild barrier stress, or is my tretinoin frequency too high? Should I reduce the frequency or continue and wait for my skin to adapt?
