Rashomon is about a man raping a woman and the different perspectives of society and bystanders and the reasoning and about passing a judgement in a court. It tells us societal norms at that time in Japan, and also gives a perspective on how law should be handled and events must be examined carefully from all perspective before coming to a conclusion and passing judgement.

Its one of the best films that has ever come out of humankind that I personally think everyone should watch.
