Title i sleep probably 70 hrs a week so really good amounts but my circadian rhythm is horrible and i dont sleep at ideal times. Asking if it really matters and if it will affect growth?

no, as long as you get 8+ hours of sleep and wake up without an alarm, you'll be good.

I would say the fact you're sleeping a good amount, 8 hours interrupted is probably ideal and you should be good tbh

There was a thread abt a guy who got a late growth spurt. Was a somewhat detailed thread, but basically he would sleep at like 12, wake up at 4am, sleep again at 10 or smth like that. It’s all fucked up. Anyways he still ended up growing iirc 10cms, so the amount of sleep u get is more important than when ur getting that.
Still tho, sleeping properly feels way better than sleeping whenever and however.
Btw idk why u tagged me lol. I’m inactive af too so... wtv.

IT MATTERS. You should eat & sleep OPTIMALLY like ur life depends on it (it actually does, because height is everything). Humans are biologically designed to sleep at night. Sleep before 11 pm and stop using screens at 8 pm

Hmm seems to be a discrepancy in these replies. I mean why tho. U get like 8 to 9 hours ur good though nah. And it’s deep sleep as well. So hgh secretes in the same amount but just in a different time

Because humans are biologically engineered to sleep at night. not just out of habit, but because every major system in our body is hard-wired to light and darkness through an ancient evolutionary mechanism called the circadian rhythm.

Deep sleep only fully activates when melatonin peaks. which ONLY happens at night.
Our brain has a built-in “light sensor”. sunlight = makes u awake and darkness = signals the pineal gland to release melatonin & prepares ur body for sleep.

cope
says at least 8 hours of sleep is a good idea
Your brain has a group of cells called the SCN, which functions as a circadian clock. They work according to the light-sun cycle. Light received from your eyes is transmitted to these cells, and hormones like melatonin are secreted.
For example, if you have a sleep schedule of 5 in the afternoon and 1 at night, you'll be getting morning light until 5 in the afternoon when you wake up. Blocking out the light with things like blackout curtains will help your body adapt. The key is light and consistency. If you continue this process long enough, your body will adapt.

Bruv i don’t understand what ur saying :lul:. I’m not high iq. But what ur saying is quality of sleep and hours matter waaaay more than circadian rhythm?
