Kane in the movie was charitable and the richest man alive and well educated, honest and proved he could be better than everyone else. Yet could never buy love. No matter what he did no matter what charm he had or his gifts it never mattered.

Honestly because he didn't have the looks. He hand no jaw. No above average features nothing that made me stand out. No hunter eyes and then he got fat and balding. He could only personality max for so long.
