class 3 elastics invisalign

hi guys i recently got invisalign to fix some minor crowding/tooth gaps along with a very minor fix to my bite (?). my ortho gave me class 3 elastics (for underbite not overbite) and i was wondering the opinions of this site on using them. my forward growth is near-perfect rn and im p sure my bite is normal, so im guessing the elastics are for something else (will contact my ortho later about what it is). is it a good idea to wear my elastics or will they turn me into xi jinping.

im 17 (almost 18) so my jaw should be nearly fully grown.
