Class II, ~9mm overjet – likely jaw surgery. What should I ask my surgeon for aesthetically?

I’m currently being worked up for orthognathic treatment. My orthodontist measured around a 9 mm overjet, bilateral Class II malocclusion and IOTN 5a. Full diagnostics/cephalometrics are still being done, so I don’t yet know whether the final plan will be mandibular advancement only or bimax.

I’ve attached front and side pictures. My main aesthetic concern is my lower third / recessed-looking jaw and side profile, but I obviously want a stable functional result as well.

What should I specifically discuss with the surgeon once I get the surgical planning?
BSSO vs bimax? CCW rotation? Amount of advancement? Genioplasty?


Based on my photos, what would you personally ask the surgeon to evaluate or avoid?
