everyone says 3.5 was better than 3.7 cause of muddy context i mean by default 3.7 thinking will be better but compared to deepseek/chatgpt/gemini right now its like hella ass which makes sense. gemini has always been hella disappointing but this was like their best release by far + insane context

claude kinda stagnated since 3.5, nothing mattered more than context and pricing, thats why gemini and deepseek kinda obliterates claude, only argument that can be made for it is native multi step reasoning but theres so many tools like cline, cursor, and copilot that already did that before claude code

to an extent, claude pricing is just ridiculous and i was a slave to 3.5, until the first thinking models and gemini 2.5 no reason to pay $20 or api credits when gemini gives out a 1m context sota model for free for like a year
