Tbh I do have another assumption abt normie hate against looksmaxxing:

For men, it's because they are lazy and don't want to be left behind. "looksmaxxing" isn't so much as to ascend (which you should always try and be sucessful for the most part by some points), but to keep your rating preserved. Specially trough softmaxxing (lifting/skincare), while men going from 25 to 35 and beyond will get fatter, with wrinkles and recessing hairline, looksmaxxers will not, and thats very concerning for them. Just like in the 70's and 80's people tried to shame men who did bodybuilding, while those karens would do stupid Yoga in front of the TV and most would not glance twice at it.

For women, its obvious. They are already fraudmaxxing to try reaching bigger leagues than their own. By men doing the same, they would end up in the same scale again, defeating the purpose of hypergamy, which makes them insane. Thats why the first rule of looksmaxxing is important, they don't want mal adaptive individuais, they just want "natural CLs"
