I remember when I was his age, I was so anxious about everything, overstimulated by everything, worrying what others think of me, being super insecure and not focusing on one specific thing to better statusmaxx.

Agreed. People spend way too much time thinking about what they should do instead of doing it. If you want to do it then do it. (Obviously there are some moral grey areas)
