Wassup guys, been curious about getting a non harsh cleanser / moisturizer, any recommendations? I’m on 0.05% tretinoin, my current cleansers are cerave foaming cleanser, and cetaphill gentle cleanser, as for the moisturizer it’s also cerave, it’s pretty bad, I just need some advice. Thanks ❤️

(I’ll attach pictures of the current cleansers I am using)

Ok here is my “expertise” from my own experience of using tretinoin and consulting with my dermatologist about the same issue you have.

When your skin is extremely dry, DO NOT use cleanser. Just wash it nicely with water. A cleanser will simply irritate your skin and do more worse than good.

Now once your skin is used to tretinoin and your skin is less dry than in the early phase, you can start using a gentle cleanser.

I don’t notice unusual dryness, unless I use the cerave foaming cleanser in the morning. I have some peeling but that’s part of the process. Would you say if you been using tretinoin for a month or two your skin would have gotten used to it? My face is starting to fill up with scars. So in conclusion, should I use water or the cetaphill gentle cleanser? (Morning and night)

I have been on tretinoin cream for 2 years. Haven’t always been consistent but once I was, it started working wonders.

Your skin will definitely get used to it, unfortunately it’s one of those things where you just have to trust the process and be consistent with. I would suggest for you in the morning to only wash your face with water, don’t use cleanser. If it’s not too bad in the evening, use the gentle cleanser. But again, if you see the slightest irritation, stop using the cleanser completely.

Happy to help 🙏
