Clear aligner for recessed jaw

I was at the ortho today, bcs i have a recessed jaw, like its not that bad but still it fucks up my side profile. Im 17 for context. And hes said that a clear aligner would help me fix it cuz my jaw wants to come forward but bcy my under palate is so narrow and my teeth ar crowded it cant. Is this guy coping or could this really help?
