Hey everyone,

Quick heads-up: I keep seeing posts elsewhere about people selling or buying "cloned EMV cards" or "chip dumps".
Rappers like PunchmadeDev used to blow up with lyrics about clones and promoting them on their platforms, pulling in tons of people

Easy Scams - PunchmadeDev

"I do Bank wires fraud and clones..."
"hitting Banks dropping checks cooking clones and cracking cards"
Lie Detector GIF

Recent comments on one of his new songs "Kasher" show that we can assume he is still scamming people with fake methods in his telegram channel which is still promoted through his Instagram bio today.

Cloning credit cards in this day and age is actually close to impossible due to the way they are made and secured.

What is EMV anyway?
EMV stands for Europay, Mastercard, and Visa it's the tech standard for the small computer chip built into your credit/debit cards (that gold square on the front). Instead of the old swipeable magnetic stripe (which was easy to copy), the chip acts like a tiny smart computer

- It creates a unique, one-time code for every single purchase.
- Even if someone steals your card details, that code expires right away and can't be reused.
- This makes fraud way harder than the old days.

Why full cloning doesn't work:

- The chip uses super strong encryption. Every transaction is different and tied to your specific card + bank.
- No one has figured out how to copy or fake a real EMV chip it's not like the old magnetic stripe that could be skimmed and duplicated easily.
- Magnetic stripes are basically dead now (many new cards don't even have them anymore).

What about contactless (tap-to-pay)?
The only thing that's somewhat possible is copying the contactless/NFC part if someone gets really close to your card (e.g. a Flipper Zero).

- This might let them do small tap payments (like €50 or less in many EU countries, no PIN needed sometimes).
- But: Limits are low, PIN often kicks in after a few tries or higher amounts, and real big hits are rare/not common.

Rundown
Offers of “Clones”, “full chip clones” or “EMV dumps” for serious / online purchases are scams in virtually every case (99%).

Scam or be scammed world. Keep winning.
