Really, I just found it boring, it's the most boring "drug" if you can even call it that, I mean it's medicine, but has no recreational value, it makes me sedated, but also very apathetic, I feel like not doing anything at all, you just sit there feeling stupid, even drinking one beer makes me more happy and euphoric...

Theres a small amount of people who don't like opiates. Those people don't even like strong opiates when they try it . But in general most people who try opiates will enjoy the feeling very much

What dosage did you take? Codeine is one of the mildest/weakest opiates n maybe you didn't take a recreational dose enough?

I took it multiple times, when I didn't have anything else and was simply bored - around 200mg and every time the effects were more than underwhelming. I also tried some other weak opioids like tramadol, kratom and again, I was less than impressed - not much euphoria from them.
I got once some dihydrocodeine and this one seemed a little better compared to the others, besides sedation, I also felt content and there was some euphoria.

Maybe you have the gene that makes it more difficult for your liver to convert opiates into morphine. A few people have that gene and it makes them not feel much from opiates
