I used to do this mistake. I would take freezing showers because muh gives high T (and yes it probably does), but in reality it’s anti inflammatory.

Anti inflammation is good for healing, but not for muscle growth. Cold showers help you recover and remove soreness, but they stop the process of inflammation, and inflammation adds size.

I put on more muscle when I stopped doing cold showers.

What’s your experience?

true and if you really want the anti inflammatory shit for the face just do RLT since it does that without affecting muscles

many people do this because they see basketball players do ice baths, but basketball players don’t care about becoming bodybuilders or adding size. They just want to recover quick

Idk I just do them in the morning cause it wakes me up. I think its only bad if you do it right after working out

what is the answer to what he said? Is it gonna have the same effect if you worked out the previous day?

Soreness and inflammation lasts for 48-72 hours. You can take cold showers but they can’t be so cold that they affect the level of soreness

Don’t do them is bottom line if you care about adding size. But if you do wait 48 hours after your last training session.

Cold showering is for masochistic redditors, it doesn’t do anything other than probably wake you up

"bro you need to wake up every day, write a one-paragraph summary of why porn is bad on r/nofap, and then take a cold shower trust me bro all the girls will flock to you bro"

If you time it properly you will be fine
Huberman states it's around 7-8 hours after a gym sesh

That's why I take two showers a day, a cold one in the morning (ONLY water) and a hot one after working out.

The inflammation happens during the workout

It only affects hypertrophy and only if you do them after a workout. There’s a study that showed increase in T when taking them before a workout but the study was conducted by an ice bath company so who knows how accurate it is

It improves immunity and makes you more comfortable in cold water if you like swimming outside in different times of the year, but not great for muscle growth.

i dont think that affect too much
