It literally doesn't matter either way if she's telling the truth or not. If her story is true, than she's obviously dating someone who probably is coming from a higher socioeconomic standard than her, which is why they would be mocking her for doing something that they see as beneath them, which is literally to be expected those of higher status have always and will always look down on those they perceive as "lower" than them. The whole point tho, is that she WILLINGLY chose to date a man like that, when she could've dated a man on her same status, who most likely wouldn't have treated her like that because you know, he would be coming from the same background as her? But no, she dated a man who she thought was a "high value man" and then proceeds to get pissy when said man treats her lower than him, (which she probably was).
