Why do people splurge on overpriced and overly processed muuh « hydrolysed collagen peptides » when it’s the exact same thing with Jello?

Tbh the supplement industry is fucking people over for real. Collagen and gelatin are virtually the same nutritionally wise and benefit wise. They have the same amino acid profile and gelatin is just a cooked version of collagen. That’s it.

1kg of gelatin powder is like 4$ while « hydrolysed collagen powder » is 1.5$ per ouce. Fucking ounces??? People are just trying to be fancy/ hyper efficient but the cost to benefits analysis is absolutely undisputable.

Just buy some jello if you want to improve your skin. All these fancy ass supplements don’t add shit to your life.

Absolutely. You can basically add it anything you are going to eat or deink and it helps a lot with digestive problems. Imo gelatin mogs collagen but people ain’t ready for that yet.

None of this digestible supps do anything for collagen dude.
 
yup broken down and cooked version of gelatin is collagen. you can make homemade jello which you can eat everyday after dinner easily with juice,sugar, and some gelatin powder. you can make this in an hour tops for a whole week. which will help you balance amino acid profile of your diet which is very likely too high in favor of muscle meats also give your body necessary building blocks of collagen while increasing your metabolism greatly.

You don’t even need to cook it just dissolve it in milk or something and take it.

yep that's true. I just wanted to give a something like a recipeish as otherwise people find it a bit hard to eat it that way. also eating it with basic sugar and fruit juice, or with milk increase the metabolic effects of gelatin.

Glycine is mostly why you take it. I'd still rather take collagen.

just eat enough animal protein and you don't have to worry about this shit
 
it's ok. try to buy it in bulk or try to go high quality with it. try to get something grass fed as it makes a difference and worth it.
How many gram of gelatin would you take per day, equal to collagen ?

10 15 gr with every meal is ok. especially when you eat some sort of meat so the amino acids reach bloodstream at the same time

Glycine is mostly why you take it. I'd still rather take collagen.
Glycine still has its pros and does assist with collagen
 
Just buy glycine
