Anyone who goes to college out of genuine curiosity for a subject today is dumb. Unless you go to grad school you will never be on the cutting edge and gain information beyond what you can get on the internet.

But college is a giant network club if you aren't apart of the club normies will think you are stupid its the prestige of the degree that gets you in the door then the information second. The biggest appeal is just the status and networking.

Also I would recommend not getting into anything besides STEM unless you go to an Ivy League school. But a good state school in a decent major will get you all the connections you need to do well in STEM. If you genuinely want to change the world either self study or be 150 IQ researcher who gets a PHD at MIT probably not worth it because a state school coder will make more money then you and have a work life balance...

Spot on. I run 2 small businesses and I don't use a single thing I learned in college. In fact, thinking about it now I honestly can't remember a single thing I learned. It was all just memorize, spit it out for an exam, then forget it.

There are two reasons to go to college imo - 1. You really want to be a certain occupation (Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer..etc) and you need that degree in order to break into the field. Or 2. You want to fuck around for 4 years with minimal responsibility, getting fucked up and chasing girls. No judgement either way, you do you.

If you're a young guy who just wants to make $$$ get a job in Sales while learning about online business, looksmaxxing...etc in your spare time. If you start at 18 in Sales with the right attitude you could be making $100k/yr by 20 - or quit to start your own business. I know this because there's a young guy (21) who I sort of mentor, and he took this advice and dropped out of college in October and is killing it at his sales job.

Imo at the end of the day when pursuing a career it comes down to knowing yourself -- choose the right career path for what your strengths and weaknesses are. At the end of the day - most everybody is gonna need to sell if they want to be successful with anything. Unless you are Chad you are gonna need to sell yourself to Stacy. Unless you are insanely good at what you do, you are gonna have to sell yourself to employers.

Yes selling is a skill everyone to an extent must have. But being good or exceptional at it is a different thing.

Getting into an actual industry with skills is safer then you can sell those and you will have knowledge of the industry. Most people can't be good enough at selling as a skill in itself. So they are in an industry they know a lot about then sell to people with their superior knowledge and connections in the industry.

Less then 5% of people in general are natural born salesmen that could make it in sales alone. Sales is a good skill but most people need more then just that to make it lots of broke salesmen you see the handful of successful ones but a lot of salesmen are completely broke its the kind of industry where the top 10% make 90% of the income and the rest are making shit wages and are basically pyramid scheme pushers.
