im worried about colllege, and i know this aint a lm question but it is a question. Im not like a social guy so im not the president of any clubs, i am part of nhs but just a part of it. I get told all the time to start a club or be the president of something, if im not does this mean that like i have a really bad chance at getting into college?

Looking back at things I shouldn't have cared that much about stuff like this, seems like a lot of people go through this phase and think these things are important when in reality they don't matter that much. It's just a wave you ride and you can choose whether or not you do some tricks & flips on the wave but eventually you will get to the shore just like anyone else.

in the same exact situation bro im in alot of ecs and clubs but im not the president in any of them my grades are decent i only have a 3.7 im planning on trying to get a 1600 to compensate for that but thats going to be difficult

in my city my school offers them however my friend goes to a school that doesnt offer it and he just took the ap exam at another school
he had to self study and actually pay for the exam himself tho

basically, you can get these credits which means you dont have to take some of the manadtory classes, for instance you dont have to take math and you can instead take something you enjoy

Regardless of what you do, you can get into a decent or okay college if you have a 3.0 gpa, and a good essay.

If you’re good at sports or so much as done them for 4 years of high school, you have the same chance as someone with a 4.1 gpa into most colleges. Just take AP lit that shits easy, and everything else advanced/honors.

i averaged a 93, straight A's (my school does number), i got 1270 but im retaking this weekend, i dont have a job but i am in a swim club, i want to major in biotech or something forensic/national security, i want to really just get into a college.

1270 is a good SAT, not crazy high but above average. Straight As are really good, that's the equivalent of like a ~3.9 to 3.8 GPA depending on how it gets converted. From my understanding on how competitive science majors and taking your profile into account are you can definitely get into a decent college, maybe not the top one in your state but top 5. I don't know much about forensics.

You're already pretty solid, I wouldn't stress if you just want to get into a college. You should apply to at least 3, ideally 5, with 1-2 being safeties (one you can easily get into, not that competitive, but also not a terrible college). If you decide you want to aim higher, I would mostly focus on expanding extracurriculars or even trying to get a relevant internship if possible. I had a 2.7 GPA because I was retarded and slacked off and 1320 SAT and still got into the #3 college in my state from how good my ECs were. Definitely a major boost, makes you look well rounded. If you're not pressed about prestige, I wouldn't worry about it though
