Depends, for the average person it is since it would be the only way you can get something to compete against other, which would be a college degree, other people will tell you its useless and that you should quit, when really the only people that can really manage to get through life without one are mostly genetic outliers (95th+ %ile) who are capable enough of finding new ideas and innovation processes where most people dont. Personally I am thinking about quiting college and its just my first year, started literally days ago, but I do believe from my own personal experience and clinical diagnosis I have recieved in the past about my cognitive skills, that I am part of that small group, but its most probably not your case.

Why on earth would I need friends? The pillar of the conversation was discussing about the worthiness of a college degree, if you personally find it worth it because you make friends... I would personally dont know what to tell you
