do I choose not to feel because I believe it clouds my judgment or is my judgment clouded because I’m afraid of what I might feel? While I don’t have an exact answer to this question I feel as though it’s one I am not alone in asking. Oftentimes I feel a disconnect between what I’m supposed to feel and whether or not I’m feeling anything at all. As I’ve talked with other people I’ve realized how disillusioned society, in both its youth and its grandeur, is becoming. This feeling of disconnection that has become increasingly more common stems from a plethora of societal and emotional factors that I don’t have either the depth of knowledge or the capacity to talk about in their entirety. All I know is that if we as a collective don’t start to question where this disillusion stems from, It may very well overtake us.
