but if the nose is already small, what options are there?

That usually the cause for a narrow mouth, but I would avoid getting a commisurro plasty and maybe get a rhino if its your nose thats fucking up the ratio. If your nose is small and your mouth isn't wide get a consult with an ortho for a MARPE just to check and see if you would benefit

i already have braces on and i have a decent palate, its just my genetics sadly

"Getting something for scarring" is also a gross oversimplification.
