Compact orbitals have to do with bone support around an eyeball. You can have large eyeballs that are surrounded by compact orbitals or small eyeballs with poor orbital support. You can also have large eyeballs with poor orbital support or small eyeballs with compact orbitals.

You sound like your issue has more to do with your eyeball size than it has to do with orbital compactness, where you seem to have small eyeballs with compact orbitals. The problem is your eyeball size, not your orbitals.
