Recently raised my standards & having trouble meeting what I think are “good” guys. I’m 25, take good care of myself (no acne, white teeth, physically active) & graduated with a degree, make ~$85k/yr. I’m trying to find guys at a similar point in life to me and are just as busy. I use Hinge, date 23M-28M, ultimate goal is a relationship to turn LT.

There are men who I am interested in but mention sexual things within the first day or 2 of chatting, before they ask me on a date. It makes me think they lack self control, but am I being too judgmental early on? Should I tell them I don’t like that and give them 1 more chance?

Its crazy because if they waited a week or 2 and we went on dates/got to know each other we could be having great sex! I appear cute, small, and docile but I like to have fun

When approached in public, strangers tend to compliment then straight up ask for a date instead of introducing themselves so I reject. Should I maybe joke and say “you haven’t told me your name! Let’s exchange that and numbers first to see if we’d like to go on a date”

Basically I’m getting the feeling that I need to start telling guys how to get me interested, but I don’t want to get tricked and used. I am too nice and that resulted in VERY bad past romances for me. (Death threats, stalking, taking naked pics of me while I’m asleep, guys with porn addictions, flirting with other girls- I could write a book!)

Edit: Appreciate everyone taking the time to read and comment. Lots of good suggestions made. One note: the comments I made describing myself were only about me. The person I want is someone with a ambition and does take care of themselves, but doesn’t need to be perfect or make the same amount as me. Mainly career focused with a plan and good health/hygiene practices.
