But I do the same thing. The smaller communities do have decent advice.

But to everyone saying you don't see ads, I think I saw studies saying that marketing companies have fake social media accounts, including reddit, creating fake posts. I could swear I've seen some comments on product discussions that could be pushing a very specific product from a marketer not a user.

I like Reddit, but it is seriously a giant circlejerk and if you oppose an opinion you basically get downvoted to Reddit gulag. I only use Reddit for my hobby stuff. I mostly avoid subreddits that have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Big subreddits are shitty.
