it makes me feel so pathetic to know that im objectively the ugliest one in our circle of friends. and even when i try my best not to pay any mind to it im always pulled back to a state of envy and feel immensely inferior to them. and it makes it so much worse that im aware of it too, literal millimeters of difference in facial features can shape how bad or good youre treated. it feels tiring to put in twice the effort and be less than half as good looking as them. and i dont even have anyone to blame for it, its not their fault that i have shit genetics compared to them. every group picture im always the one looking like fucking shit, and it seems to be only me thats looks bad.
like ill try not to make my whole life revolve around my looks but it just seems impossible, because theres always a moment that reminds me how much it really matters to look good, to the point where looking "acceptable" isnt enough anymore. pretty privilege and the halo effect is so blatantly obvious when youre not the one experiencing it.
of course this whole rant isnt about me hating my friends or anything, i love them and they really are good friends, they deserve every good thing that happens to them, but constantly comparing myself to them in my own head is making me consider roping.
