Consultation - bimax - Augusto Pary

Hi, Guys,

I will have a consultation with dr. Augusto Pary next month and would like to know your opinion on him. Although there are fantastic results on his instagram, I found a not very succesful one on this website (tyrion's, i guess).
Keep in mind I am interested in double surgery + implants mainly for aesthetical reasons.

Has anyone here had a consultation with him?

Bump. I want to hear too, it seems too good to be true that a surgeon in a less developed country is getting better results than those in europe/north america. But then maybe he has lower success rate (ie more tyrion fuckups) and only posts the best one's??

I recently talked to isabela and henrique (following pictures). both affirmed they were extremely satisfied with the results, but again, as you pointed, these must belong to his best cases...

Those would be some of his best cases he's allowed to post, maybe he had even better results in other cases.

Yeah most cases don’t allow to get posted. He will probably show you better or more specific ones in a in person consultation.

if you can, get as much info of what’s wrong with your bite and what kind of bimax you need and ask for results for similar cases.

CW or CCW? If any rotation at all? Downgrafts? If yes what kind ? Genio? If yes what kind ? Do you need chinheight ? Do you need projection ? How much ? You lack or do you have too much mentolabial fold? All can be achieved with different methods and cuts and so on

Personally I would never settle for a implant solution. Never ever ever. Before that I commit suicide.

Also the bite in itself shouldn’t be the deciding factor for a blackpiller. Im myself am getting bimax for aesthetic purposes only with a good bite. We don’t want to fix our bite. We want to look better. Pics for braces, molds and everything tomorrow. Hype

If you are fine with implants do you. But I would never even consider any solution that has implants in it.

But yeah. I need to correct my wording. Don’t find what’s wrong with your bite. Find what’s wrong with your face.

Yeah like the dude I posted from Reddit. He probably had some tiny jaw angle implants. But I would never consider that. Not even a midface implant. I would rather take less advancement if my midface would look recessed with too much advancement. That’s me tho. Implants as addition to bsso are a mogger combi. Tho I would stay away from only implants even if I wasn’t opposed to them.

I agree with u. i even claimed to him that only bimax could provide me forward growth. I do want implants as well but for contouring and reshaping (it could in a second surgery to optimize results)... so he asked me to have cephalometry, x-rays etc, which I already did.

Which program do you suggest for morphing?

Hey, guys

I finally had the long-awaited in-person consultation with Augusto Pary last week in Rio de Janeiro.
Augusto is a very nice and approachable guy.


First, I showed him a morph of my idealized face and, After taking some photos, touching and examining my philtrum, he affirmed that...

××× With the big implants I wanted , I would look uncanny, ridiculous, a comic cartoon character.... and the reason for that is my maxillomandibullar recession - that should be fixed first...
He also pointed that my lips' vermilion should be more exposed, So he suggested bimax, rhynoplasty and fat transfer to the cheeks.

Then he made a morph of what he could realistically offer me with bimax and I really liked it (so did my mom)...

Other points:

- Jaw angle Implants could be used but their size would be determined during surgery... i argued i'd rather have implants in a second surgery so as to guarantee more precise results....He agreed that was the best plan , despite most his patients wanting everything done at once...

- given my good bite and almost flat occlusion plane, he would go for a more linear advancement (little to no rotation), but that should be decided dUring planning....
- he estimated 8-9 mm advancement of both jaws
- he believes i will be satisfied with only surgery (i know i won't haha I want a strong jaw)
- he doesn't know if I will need genio. That will be determined during planning
- he was not familiar with the term "anteface"
- he doesn't work with wraparound implants

And here i am. Very anxious and unsure abouT my next step after reading some threads at jawsurgeryforums.com i have the impression orthognathic surgery is somewhat risky and can deliver unexpected results (i would kill myself if i got chimpmaxxed)....
